Amsterdam Architecture Prize AAP

Arcam has been organizing the Amsterdam Architecture Prize (AAP) every year for fifteen years. In this publication, we look back at all the winners and look ahead to the future of the prize. Thanks to the contributions of the authors, we have been able to place the award in perspective of other local architecture awards and in the context of the ever-changing city. That taught us a lot. Above all, the buildings that have received awards over the past fifteen years are a convincing illustration of the social relevance of architecture as a design discipline in general, and the importance of good architecture for Amsterdam in particular.
